Antenna Test Range and Microwave Sensing

The anechoic chamber allows to measure the radiation pattern of prototyped antennas without any external interference source and scattering from the surrounding environment. The anechoic chamber at Polo Tecnologico di Ingegneria (Via Santa Sofia, 102) has been installed in 2019.

The Antenna Test Range facilities are used within the courses:

Features and instrumentations
  • Dimensions: 8.2 x 5.4 x 3.6 m
  • Frequency range: 1GHz-40GHz
  • Spherical Antenna Measurement System (Diamond Antenna Measurement Systems DAMS D6000)
  • Vector Network Analyzer 10MHz-40GHz (Anritsu37369D)
  • Spectrum Analyzer 9KHz-40GHz (AnritsuMS2668C)
  • Calibrated horn antenna 800MHz-18GHz (R&S HF907 Double-Ridged Waveguide Horn Antenna)
  • LHCP and RHCP Conical Log Spiral Antennas 1-10GHz  (ETS-LINGDREN)

The chamber serves also to test antennas and array developed for industrial applications (mobile, satellite, avionic) by local and regional companies.
