3 CFU - Altre abilità - "Antennas Simulation by ANSYS HFSS"

The lessons of the course  "Antennas Simulation by ANSYS HFSS" (3CFU, 18 hours, in English) will start on Friday, March 28th.

The course will offer a practical introduction to the commercial electromagnetic simulators.

A valuable training will be provided through case studies on RF devices commonly used in Telecommunications (TLC) and Electronics companies (e.g., antennas and various guiding structures), as well as in research institutions such as INFN (e.g., filters and resonant cavities for charged particle acceleration).

The course will be held from 15:00 to 18:00 at Lab. INF-A (centro di calcolo) using ANSYS HFSS. We are also plan to characterize RF devices at INFN-LNS (or Polo Tecnologico) during the last lesson.

The instructor will be Engineer Giorgio S. Mauro, permanent staff at INFN-LNS, responsible for RF design and characterization of components employed in ion sources and particle accelerators.
