Final Exams

Final Exams – Student Guide (please refer also to the  current regulations)

  1. Preliminary Phase: At least six months before the end of the PhD program, the supervisor (or co-supervisor) proposes at least two evaluators to the  PhD Academic board (Article 20.2).
  2. By the first day of the month preceding the end of the program, students must submit their thesis, along with a summary of their research and training activities, to the program coordinator. The coordinator forwards these documents to the previously appointed evaluators.
  3. PhD candidates who are eligible to request an additional certification (Articles 27–28) must formally submit their request to the coordinator at the same time as their thesis, affirming that they meet the conditions outlined in the relevant articles.
  4. The evaluators provide their assessments by the 10th day of the final month of the PhD program.
  5. PhD candidates are given at least 20 days to revise their thesis based on the evaluators’ feedback.
  6. The final version of the thesis must be uploaded to the designated portal following the guidelines provided by the administrative offices.
  7. In the event of a program extension, all deadlines are adjusted accordingly to reflect the duration of the extension.

Note: All PhD candidates in their final year must submit a formal request for admission to the final exam to the rector by the 20th day of their final month of activity. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the exam. The application for the final exam must be completed exclusively online via the university’s system. For more details, students can contact the PhD office.
