Salvatore RIOLO

Assistant Professor of Telecommunications [ING-INF/03]

Salvatore Riolo received the bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, the master’s degree (cum laude) in telecommunications engineering and the PhD degree in Systems, Energy, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering, University of Catania, Italy, in 2012, 2017, and 2021, respectively. From August 2017 to March 2018, he was an early-stage researcher in “High bit rate device-to-device services for 5G mobile networks” at the University of Catania. From August 2021 to December 2021 he pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the same University. Since January 2022 he is with the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering of the University of Catania where he is currently Assistant Professor of Telecommunications.His scientific interests include radio resource management for B5G/6G mobile networks, green networking, mmWave communications, massive machine type communications, and the convergence of artificial intelligence with radio access networks.
