RF & Microwaves

The RF & µ-Wave laboratory is equipped with different instrumentations for the design, simulation, prototyping and testing of antennas and microwave devices.

The laboratory facilities are used within the courses:

• Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) 10 MHz-40 GHz (R&S ZVA 40)
• RF and Microwave Signal Generator 100 KHz-40 GHz (R&S SMB100A)
• Electromagnetics CAD softwares (HFFS, CST, COMSOL)
• Waveguide and coaxial components (directional couplers, variable attenuators, matched terminations, sliding short circuit, coaxial-to-waveguide transitions, phase stable coaxial cables)
• Lasers
• RF-diodes and Photodiodes
