Sarah Di Grande was born in Augusta, in the province of Syracuse, in 1998.

After obtaining a scientific high school diploma, in 2020 she graduated in Business Economics at the University of Catania with a thesis entitled "Value and use of Big Data in marketing strategy”.

She continued her studies by enrolling in a master's degree course, and in 2022 she graduated in Data Science for management with a thesis entitled "An unsupervised machine learning method for the detection of shading on photovoltaic systems". The thesis was carried out during a 6-month pro-thesis internship at the company BaxEnergy Srl.

In 2022 she won the competition for an industrial research doctorate in Systems, Energy, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering. Consequently, at the moment she is a PhD student whose research, which concerns the field of water-energy optimization through machine learning, is carried out at the University of Catania (Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering) and at the company Darwin Technologies Srl.
