Daniela Giovanna Anna PANNO

Associate Professor of Telecommunications [ING-INF/03]

Daniela Panno received the Dr.Ing. degree (with honors) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Catania, Italy, in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science Engineering from the University of Palermo, Italy, in 1993. In 1989 she joined the Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Catania, where she is now an Associate Professor of Signal Theory. She has attended several international workshops and symposia as invited speaker. She has invited as Guest Editor for Special Issue on “Computational Intelligence in Telecommunication Networks” 2002, Computer Communications”. Prof. Panno serves as reviewer for several international journals. Currently, her research interests include radio resource management, green networking, mmWave D2D communication, Software-Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization in next-generation mobile cellular networks.
