Giuseppe MANGIONI

Associate Professor of Information processing systems [ING-INF/05]

Giuseppe Mangioni received the degree in Computer Engineering (1995) and the Ph.D. degree (2000) at the University of Catania, where he became a professional engineer in 1995. Between 2000-2007 he worked at the Department of Computer and Telecommunications Engineering as researcher consultant and adjunct professor. In 2008 he has joined permanently the same department as assistant professor. From 2018 he is Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering. Currently he teaches Internet Architecture, Object Oriented Programmming and Advanced Programming Languages at the BS/MS Computer Engineering Program.He  has authored and co-authored more than 100 peer reviewed journal articles, proceedings and book chapters. He is member of the Steering Committee and co-initiator of the International Conference on Complex Networks and member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Electronic Democracy (IJED). He has served as general chair of the International Conference on Complex Networks (CompleNet 2009) anc CompleNet 2020. He also served as program chair of the Intelligent Distributed Computing Symposium (IDC2009), CompleNet 2010 and CompleNet 2015. He has served as member of the program committees of many international conferences and workshops. Prof. Mangioni research interests include trust and reputation systems, self-organizing and self-adaptive systems and network science.
